What was most impressive to me about John Wesley's spending habits, was that he made it a habit to always spend more on others than on himself. As I reflect on how I spend my money I am astonished by all the things I convinced myself that I needed. In reality I've been confusing my wants as my needs. If I just stuck with what I needed, I'd be able to help meet the needs of others.

Extreme and not for everyone, but I like the idea of picking an income that you can live with, and being content with that even if you begin to make more.
